How does cable TV work?

With miles and miles of coaxial cable run around the world, cable TV has one of the largest infrastructures of any entertainment device. A data signal is sent through the cable and can include not only cable TV but also high-speed internet. As it is just a cable, almost anything electrical can be sent along it so, in its simplicity, the coaxial cable lends itself well to future upgrades. Most cable TV companies offer the three major services: high-speed internet, cable TV and phone. When you bundle all three together, it means savings for you. Unfortunately, if you don't have the coaxial cable attached to your house, you may not be able to get cable TV. This situation is seen much more often in very rural areas. Under most circumstances, you will be able to get cable and, if you can’t, perhaps you can petition for the nearby cable TV company to run coax to your area. Technology behind Dish Network satellite TV

Satellite TV providers such as dishnetwork are probably available to you now. Satellite TV Technology is a little bit different. It works by sending a wireless signal to your house. The broadcasted signal allows for satellite TV to be consistent. It allows you to be able to move to wherever in the US and make you able to retain the same great service. No matter where you are, your Dish Network satellite dish can be aimed at an orbiting satellite to receive the signal. The Dish Network signal is sent from your satellite dish to the receiver that your television is plugged into. Satellite can do this because it doesn't rely on miles of cable to get you what you pay for. Everything is wireless. Satellite could be a great option for many people who, say, live in rural areas that the cable companies have not ventured to yet.

Watch TV Online!

Internet TV, or streaming TV is where most people think that TV is headed towards. Both Hulu and Netflix offer great priced packages that include days, no, years of streaming entertainment. Movies, television shows, entertainment specials, holiday fanfares - You can watch almost anything you want whenever you want. The caveat here with streaming TV is with newly released material - new shows, new movies, new specials, etc…. Conventional TV still holds the cake when it comes to newly released material and, thus, is a reason why many people decide to remain with cable TV or satellite TV providers rather than switching completely to streaming TV.
