FiOS Cable TV demystified

With miles and miles of coaxial cable run around the world, cable TV has one of the largest infrastructures of any entertainment device. You can't get every cable TV provider everywhere - in fact each household only has the option of one - maybe two. Call us today to see if FiOS is your local provider. Cable TV companies use the coaxial cable that is running to your home to send data signals which can currently make up the TV and internet signals. Now spreading to satellite TV as well, cable TV companies have, over the last decade or so, included the option to bundle three standard services (cable TV, internet and phone) allowing you to save money on the comprehensive package. Unfortunately, if you don't have the coaxial cable attached to your house, you may not be able to get cable TV. This situation is seen much more often in very rural areas. Under most circumstances, you will be able to get cable and, if you can’t, perhaps you can petition for the nearby cable TV company to run coax to your area. The oddball here is Verizon FiOS which, instead of normal coaxial cable, uses light-driven fiber-optic cable. Talk to us about FiOS Bundles in Stamford, CT and get the answers you are looking for.

How Satellite TV Works

By receiving signals from satellites in orbit, satellite companies are able to 'cut the cord' so to speak. 'Cutting the cord' so to speak essentially untethers you from the coaxial cable laid by cable TV service providers. Your house will have a satellite dish on it that receives the proper signals from the orbiting satellites. The signal is sent from your satellite dish to the receiver that your television is plugged into. Without having to depend on miles of cable, satellite's reliable wireless system can always bring you the best TV. If cable is not an option for you, check out satellite! Heck, even if cable IS available to you, satellite TV has some amazing deals waiting for you!

Streaming Television

Watching TV online is an enticing departure from conventional television such as cable TV or satellite TV. With thousands of movies and TV shows, streaming TV providers such as Hulu and Netflix provide viewers with flexibility unseen among other forms of broadcasting. Streaming TV is such an incredible way of catching up on shows or movies. Having that freedom of access is a great achievement in the world of entertainment. The caveat here with streaming TV is with newly released material - new shows, new movies, new specials, etc…. Looking to watch the new season of your favorite television show? Streaming TV may not provide the show soon enough. There is usually a time period that the streaming sites have to wait before they can air the new episodes of TV shows so that they don't necessarily interfere with the ratings on the channel itself (ABC or FOX for example).

Get the best FiOS TV from TV Choices!

With all of the options in TV providers, you may be confused as to which one works best for your situation. Perhaps you are looking for something cheap or perhaps you are looking for the ultimate in entertainment. The same TV. The movies. The same specials. In many cases, the providers offer the same as one another. It is sometimes very difficult to distinguish one from another. So, which is the right choice for you? The options can be confusing but we can help. Call TV Choices about FiOS Bundles in Stamford, CT at 1-888-516-2556 to get the clear picture!
