Cable TV demystified
With miles and miles of coaxial cable run around the world, cable TV has one of the largest infrastructures of any entertainment device. With the coaxial cable, the cable TV company can allow you access to their TV and internet signals which are encoded on their end and decoded on your end (by TV tuner or modem). Bundles are a great advantage of cable TV companies (and more recently, satellite TV), offering savings when you order more than one service including TV, phone and internet. The disadvantage of cable TV technology is that it is geographically specific - that is you need to have the physical cable hooked up to the network for it to work properly. Satellite (Dish) Televison
Satellites broadcast the television signal across the United States. 'Cutting the cord' so to speak essentially untethers you from the coaxial cable laid by cable TV service providers. Your house will have a satellite dish on it that receives the proper signals from the orbiting satellites. The receiver is built to decode the signal send by the satellite so it can be turned into viewable material. Satellite doesn't rely on tons of cable spread over miles as satellite's wireless system is always ready to bring you what you pay for when you want it. If you are unable to get cable TV or are just looking for great satellite TV deals, then give TV Choices a call!
Enter the future with Netflix Internet TV
Probably the future of television, IPTV (internet protocol television) is a haven of on-demand programming. Both Hulu and Netflix offer great priced packages that include days, no, years of streaming entertainment. Streaming TV is such an incredible way of catching up on shows or movies. Having that freedom of access is a great achievement in the world of entertainment. The caveat here with Netflix streaming TV is with newly released material - new shows, new movies, new specials, etc…. One of the disadvantages of streaming TV is that there is no consolidated streaming provider that airs new material (Netflix, for instance, requires you to wait for the DVD version of the TV show to be released before being able to watch it). Individual stations (like ABC and FOX) air newer episodes but they do not have the ease & accessibility of the streaming providers. Netflix can bring you the ultimate in streaming TV.
