I live in an apartment or townhouse; can I still get DISH Network?

Absolutely. In 1996, the FCC passed a Satellite Consumer Bill of Rights, which makes it law that renters can have DISH Network satellite dishes installed in exclusive, non-common areas. If you need to modify your building or install your dish in a common area, however, you will need landlord permission.
